Wally Vernon : ウィキペディア英語版
Wally Vernon
Wally Vernon (1905 – March 7, 1970) was an American comic and character actor and dancer.
==Biography==
Vernon was born in New York City in 1905. He was in show business from the age of three, and made his first Hollywood appearance in 1937's Mountain Music.
He made more than 75 films altogether, including a series of short subjects at Columbia Pictures teamed with Eddie Quillan and produced by Jules White. White emphasized extreme physical comedy in these films, and Vernon and Quillan enthusiastically engaged in pratfalling, kick-in-the-pants slapstick. The series ran from 1948 through 1956. Vernon's considerable skill as an eccentric dancer is most fully seen in ''Alexander's Ragtime Band'' (1938), where he appears as himself.
Vernon was struck by and killed by a hit-and-run driver on March 7, 1970, in Hollywood, California.
